The short version: The Option LLC builds applications that keep your data on your device. We do not run servers that store customer data, we do not sell information to anyone, and we do not use advertising or analytics tracking in our apps.
Data practices for each individual app are listed separately below.
Scope
This policy covers The Option LLC, a Vermont limited liability company, and the applications we publish. It explains our company-wide privacy commitments and then describes the specific data handling of each app.
If you are looking for the privacy details of a particular app, skip to the app-specific practices section.
Our company-wide commitments
These apply to every application we publish, regardless of what it does:
- We do not sell your data. Not to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in our applications.
- We default to on-device storage. Where an app can work without sending your data anywhere, it does.
- We collect the minimum necessary. If a feature does not require your information to function, we do not request it.
App-specific practices
Each application below describes exactly what it does with your information. Additional apps will be added to this section as they are released.
SLP Den
Session data tracking for speech-language pathologists
What we collect
Nothing. The Option LLC does not collect, receive, transmit, store, or have access to any information you enter into SLP Den. This includes student or client names, session and trial data, notes, timing records, your contact information, device identifiers, location, and usage analytics.
How your data is stored
All information you enter is stored locally on your device. SLP Den contains no networking code: it makes no network requests, includes no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services, and has no third-party software libraries. There is no mechanism in the app by which your data could be transmitted anywhere.
Session data is encrypted at rest using iOS file-level protection and remains encrypted whenever your device is locked.
SLP Den also includes an optional lock that uses the Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode already configured on your device. It is switched on by default, so the app asks you to authenticate each time you open it, and it can be turned off at any time in the app's Settings. Authentication is performed entirely by iOS — SLP Den receives only whether it succeeded, and never has access to your biometric data. If your device has no passcode or biometrics configured, the lock cannot be used and the app opens normally.
Device backups
By default, SLP Den data may be included in your device's iCloud or local backups, which are governed by Apple's privacy practices rather than ours. If your organization's policies require that this data not be backed up to iCloud, you can exclude SLP Den from iCloud Backup in the iOS Settings app, under your Apple Account's iCloud backup settings.
Exporting your data
SLP Den can generate export files of your session data. Exports are always initiated by you and delivered through the standard iOS share sheet, which means you choose the destination. The Option LLC does not receive a copy of any export and has no visibility into where you send it. Once data leaves the app, it is governed by the privacy practices of whatever service or storage you send it to.
Student and client information
SLP Den is designed for professionals who work with children and may handle information protected under FERPA, IDEA, HIPAA, or state privacy law.
Because The Option LLC never receives your data, we do not act as a service provider, business associate, or school official with respect to any records you create in the app. Responsibility for how student and client records are collected, stored, exported, retained, and disclosed remains with you and your employing organization.
If your school district, clinic, or employer requires a vendor privacy review, this policy and the app's offline architecture should be provided to them. We are glad to answer questions from your compliance office directly.
Deleting your data
Deleting SLP Den from your device removes all data stored by the app. Inside the app you can archive a student at any time, and permanently delete a student who has no saved sessions. A student with recorded sessions is archived rather than deleted, so that session history is not lost by accident. Because we never hold a copy, there is no request to submit to us and nothing for us to erase on our end.
Guardian Checklist
Workplace safety inspections and hazard reporting
Effective September 26, 2026
The short version: we don't collect your inspection data. It stays on your device and, if you turn on iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage. We can't see it.
No accounts. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking. We never sell your information.
This policy explains how The Option LLC ("we," "us") handles information in the Guardian Checklist app for iPhone and iPad (the "App"). It is part of the Guardian Checklist Terms of Service.
Information you create in the App
Checklists, answers, notes, photos, hazard and mishap reports, and exported reports are stored on your device. If iCloud is turned on, the App syncs this information through the private database in your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit service. Apple handles that storage under the Apple Privacy Policy.
We do not run servers that receive this information. We cannot view, recover, or delete it.
Device permissions
The App asks for camera and location access only when you use a feature that needs them. Each is optional. You can change them at any time in the iOS Settings app under Guardian Checklist.
- Camera. Taking photos of conditions and hazards during an inspection.
- Photos you choose. Attaching existing photos to an inspection or report. The App uses the iOS photo picker, which gives the App only the photos you select, so no photo library permission is requested.
- Location. Recording where an inspection or hazard report took place. The location is saved with the inspection and printed on its reports.
Location and photos stay on your device and in your iCloud account, like the rest of your inspection data. We do not receive them.
Location in reports you share
Reports include the location recorded for the inspection. Photos are added to reports without their embedded GPS location data, but the inspection's location still appears in the report. When you export or send a report, that location information goes to whoever receives it. Before sharing, consider whether the location of your site is sensitive, and follow any security rules that apply to your organization.
When you share a report
The App shares information only when you choose to, for example by sending a report to your safety manager or saving it to a cloud storage service through the iOS share sheet or document picker. You choose the recipient or service. How they handle the report is governed by their own practices, not this policy.
Purchases
Guardian Checklist is sold through the Apple App Store. Apple processes your payment. We do not receive your name, payment card, or Apple ID. Apple provides us with sales reports that do not identify you.
Crash reports from Apple
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may send us crash reports and usage statistics that Apple says do not identify you. You control this in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond to you and to keep a record of support requests. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace, which processes messages on our behalf. Please don't send inspection reports or other sensitive information by email unless we ask for it.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Children
The App is for business and professional use by adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your choices and deleting your data
Because your inspection data is stored on your device and in your iCloud account, you control it. To delete it, delete the App from your devices and remove Guardian Checklist's data from iCloud in the iOS Settings app (your name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage).
To ask about or delete any email correspondence with us, contact privacy@theoptionllc.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If we change how the App handles your information in a material way, we will tell you in the App before the change takes effect.

Cross Check WX
Weather wall for flight operations · Apple TV, iPhone & iPad
Effective October 25, 2026
The short version: we collect nothing. Your screens and messages live in your own iCloud account and are shared only with people you invite. Weather comes straight from public government services.
No accounts. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking. We never sell your information.
Information you create in the App
Screen names, layouts, chosen airfields, map settings, ops messages, and the names and roles of the people on your site are stored in your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. Apple handles that storage under the Apple Privacy Policy.
We do not run servers that receive this information. We cannot view, recover, or delete it.
Sharing with your team
Your site is shared only with the people and Apple TVs you invite through iCloud sharing. Everyone you invite can see the site's screens and messages, and each message shows the name and role of the person who posted it. You can change anyone's role or remove them at any time.
On your devices
Each Apple TV keeps a copy of its current layout and messages so it can keep showing the wall after a restart or a network outage. Every device also keeps recent weather and map data in its cache so screens load quickly. This stays on the device.
Weather and map data
The App downloads weather, airspace, and map data directly from public services: the National Weather Service, the Aviation Weather Center, NOAA, the U.S. Geological Survey, the FAA, and Apple Maps. These requests contain the airfields and map area being displayed, and no personal information. Like any internet request, they reveal the network address of the device making them to that service.
Device permissions
The App does not ask for access to your location, camera, photos, contacts, or microphone.
Purchases
Cross Check WX is sold through the Apple App Store.
You control this in the Settings app under Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond to you and to keep a record of support requests. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace, which processes messages on our behalf.
Children
The App is for professional use by adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Deleting your data
The site owner can delete the site's data from iCloud in the Settings app (your name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage). People you invited can leave the site at any time, and deleting the App removes the copy kept on each device.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If we change how the App handles your information in a material way, we will tell you in the App before the change takes effect.

Children's privacy
Our applications are intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Where an app collects no data at all, there is nothing for us to receive, retain, or delete.
Third parties
We do not share customer data with third parties. Our applications integrate no third-party SDKs or analytics platforms. Where an app offers iCloud sync or sharing, your data moves only through your own Apple iCloud account, under Apple’s privacy policy. Where an app shows public information, such as weather in Cross Check WX, it downloads that information directly from the public service that provides it, without sending your personal information.
If you download one of our apps from the App Store, Apple collects information about that transaction under its own privacy policy. That relationship is between you and Apple.
Your rights
Privacy laws including the GDPR, CCPA, and various state statutes give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data held by a company. Where an app stores data only on your device, The Option LLC holds none of it, so there is nothing for us to produce or delete in response to such a request. You retain full and direct control over the records on your device.
Changes to this policy
If an application's functionality changes in a way that affects data handling, or when we release a new app, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the relevant app's release notes.
